Own a Holiday Home at Barcdy

Our small Holiday Home Park of only 30 pitches is ideal for people who enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a natural environment. We do not have a club or other entertainment to spoil the peace.

All pitches are serviced by:
mains water and drains
16 amp electricity
piped gas
Digital TV channels and Sky (using your own receiver)
internet access via Wi-Fi
BT line should you wish to connect.

Sales

We sell new and previously owned Holiday Homes. Previously owned Homes become available once in a while and will be shown here on our website.

Only new Holiday Homes will be sited on vacant pitches and our only suppliers are Salop Leisure of Emstrey, Shrewsbury and Machynlleth. You may visit their showrooms at these places or look at their website www.salopcaravans.co.uk where you will find some helpful information.

When you buy a new Holiday Home at Salop Leisure the price you pay will include delivery and VAT.

Some questions you may wish to ask:

When can I use my holiday home?
The park is licensed to be open from 1 March until 7 January strictly for holiday use.

Is sub-letting allowed?
Sub-letting commercially is not allowed but your friends or relatives are welcome to stay in your Holiday Home.

How long can I keep my holiday home on the park?
We offer owners of new Holiday Homes an agreement for 20 years.

Are dogs allowed?
The Holiday Home owner is the only person allowed to bring a dog to the park.

Can I sell or transfer my holiday home to a new owner?
Yes. All sales of Holiday Homes, including to family or friends, take place through us and a new Licence Agreement will be offered to the new owners. We will explain the procedure to you on request. Details are also included in the Licence Agreement document.

Are there any other park rules?
We do have some rules to ensure everyone's comfort on the park. A copy of these is available on request.

Can I visit Barcdy to make sure that Barcdy is the right park for me?
We know that buying a new Holiday Home is a long term decision and that choosing the right park for you is very important. So, you are more than welcome to visit Barcdy as many times as you need to in order to find out as much as possible about the park before you make a decision.

What is the cost of siting a new caravan?
Siting and connecting to piped gas, electric, water, drains, and TV: £2,950.00 inclusive of VAT @ 20%. This includes one set of green metal steps with handrail. Platform/Balconies are allowed according to the space available between Holiday Homes and would be at an extra cost. We adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations regarding size and type of balcony and will discuss all of this with you before you buy. We now prepare a concrete base for every new Holiday Home and provide a paved path along one side, but patios and bases for sheds are extra.

What are the yearly costs?
Pitch fee for 2016 : £2,166 inclusive of VAT @ 20%, payable on 1 April. Rates and water for 2015 : £170.00 inclusive of VAT @ 20% (Rates info for 2016 not yet available), payable on 1 April. Gas and Electricity: metered and billed once annually.
